15/04/2004
Capita Insurance Services is in advanced discussions to deliver the run-off business of broker Hill House Hammond, after an extensive and detailed selection process. Capita says it will maintain existing high service levels throughout the period of the run-off while supporting business retention. Policy administration and claims management will be handled through the central administration centre in Bristol. By end-September 2004 staff will transfer to Capita via Tupe (transfer of undertakings protection of employment).
Lee Gladwell, business development director with Capita Insurance Services, comments: ‘This is a very important outsourcing contract for us. We have extensive experience in helping companies to manage operational challenges and particularly in managing the smooth transition of staff to minimise disruption and maximise morale.’ Ken Applegate, managing director at Hill House Hammond, says: ‘Capita's breadth of service offering and specialist knowledge of handling run-off business in this sector and transition management track record are vital. By partnering with Capita we are able to secure a successful run-off as well as present new opportunities for the transferring staff.’
